NFM is a pioneer and innovator
in the design and manufacturing of systems for
the rubber and plastics industries.
NFM manufactures equipment for compounding, finishing
and speciality applications.
These include:
Each system is designed to provide decided processing
advantages necessary to enhance productivity
in critical applications.
NFM's computer-engineered systems integrate
all secondary equipment including:
- Pelletizer
- Screen-pack changers
- Feeders
- Material-handling equipment
|
|
|
| |
These systems are equipped with advanced
microcomputer programmable controllers, providing
a direct interface with all operations.
- Twin-screw
co-rotating extruders
The Toshiba SS
Series* co-rotating twin-screw line offers
the highest torque-per-free-volume and the
highest screw speed of any commercial available
compounding extruder. Manufactured in North
America, it is available in sizes ranging
from 37 to 175 millimeters.
- Twin-screw
counter-rotating extruders
The counter-rotating,
non-intermeshing system designed by Welding
Engineers enhance feed acceptance, provides
superior distributive mixing, enables multistage
feeding, and produces optimum venting. Screw
diameters range from .80 to 10.00 inches.
- Pin-barrel
Rubber Extruders
NFM pin-barrel
cold-feed extruders offer greater output
than the same size cold-feed extruder with
lower operating cost.
- Smooth-bore
Rubber Extruders
NFM smooth-bore
rubber extruders offer the simplicity of
a single machine, resulting in fewer emissions,
reduced wastewater volume, and safer, cleaner
handling. Cold-feed vacuum extruders provide
lower porosity in continuous-cured rubber
extrusion.
- Single-screw
plastics extruders
NFM
offers a range of single-screw plastics extruders
from 3-1/2" to
10", and vacuum extruders from 3-1/2" to
8".
- Dewatering
Extruders
Welding Engineers
Ltd. dewatering extruders** reduce the moisture
content of polymer emulsions from 20%-50%
to 5%-10%, enabling them to be processed
in a dryer to 0.5% moisture. By providing
efficient drying at relatively low temperatures,
these fully closed systems offer safer, cleaner
handling.
- Calenders
NFM's mixing mills
and calenders are designed to handle all
type of rubber materials. A leader in calender
design, NFM equipment incorporates the latest
technology and can be made to any roll configuration.
Tire-Curing Presses
NFM tire-curing presses meet and exceed industry specification, ultilizing three
patented features:
- Segemented mold operator(SMO) kit
- Loader Basket
- Beam lock
